Hama Beads

As it has been SO cold and wet lately, Pickle and I have found something more rewarding (for me anyway) than spending the afternoons freezing in the play park. We have been making pictures with Hama Beads.
The idea is to take the multicoloured tiny weeny beads and pop them onto the white peg board in a pretty pattern.

Like so....(this is Pickle's)

Or like this (This is mine)

When you have finished you have to iron the beads through a piece of non stick paper and prise the now melted together beads off in one piece.
Here are some finished examples, made by the Pickle Family.

Thanks Rosy, they are lovely until someone (Pickle) accidentally kicks a box of the loose beads across the floor!

Picklesmum, when Hama beads get dropped, they are the bane of my life! They get everywhere and stick to your bare feet for weeks.

Those are brilliant creations you've done with Pickle. Does Picklessister make them too? My daughter loves making Hama bead things, and we have quite a collection of Hama teddies.

The bad thing though is when she leaves them on the ironing board for me to iron, and I don't realise, knock against the board and loads of the beads fly off. Then she needs to come and do a repair job!

Thanks Rubes, yes Picklessister does do them too. She made a lovely Poppy which I hurriedly ironed but it wasn't hot enough and it fell to bits. Bad Bad Mother! Picklesdad has been known to dabble too!
